There is hardly a time that I don't remember reading. My family has always read to me and I have tried to pass that on to my two younger sisters - 14 and 8. I currently live with my 8 year-old sister and we must read two books every night. I read one to her and she reads one to me. This is were I find my deepest satisfaction in reading. When I see her face light up because she read it on her own or she figured out a word that she didn't know - it just lifts my soul. I love it that we share those precious moments in her childhood. They should be embraced and always remembered.

My only early memories of reading are with my Mom and Grandmother. They would always buy me a Golden Book if I behaved while we were shopping. I had - and still have - tons of them. I then moved on to Dr. Suess and The Berenstein Bears and now this is what I read with my sister Jordan. My family read those books to me so much that I had them memorized. I would make up stories to go with the pictures. I thought I was big and according to Grandma (which was all that mattered to me) I was SMART!

Unfortunately, as an adult I have not made the time to read books as much as I would like to, but I do make it a point to read and study my Bible. I consider that the most important book anyway. That is the only one with enough importance to come before or among 19 hours of college studies or 15 hours of work.
